Is this the course for me? This course is for mixed ability learners with an interest in drawing and painting. Develop your creative side by using a wide variety of techniques and media to create personalised artwork. What are the aims of the course? To develop and improve skills in drawing and painting with the ability to use and work with a variety of media. What are the main areas covered in the course? Learning outcomes are negotiable for learners on the course and include: • Exercises in drawing and painting to develop and improve skills • Brush strokes, shading, colour, form and texture • Drawing perspective • Planning individual project work • Safe working practice Materials & equipment Your tutor will advise you at your first session about materials required. What can I do after successfully completing the course? Further study can be undertaken in other art classes. What skills or knowledge do I need for entry to this course? No previous knowledge or skills are needed.
