This course is for applicants who wish to gain Early Years Educator status as a fully qualified member of the Early Years team in roles such as Keyperson, Nursery or Pre-School Supervisor in employment within the Early Years Sector or to progress on to Higher level qualfications that lead to careers in other areas of the Children and Young people's Workforce. Some applicants will already hold a level 2 Certificate for the Children and Young People's Workforce, others may be volunteering, as yet unqualified, and wish to become employed or to count towards level 3 staff to child ratios in the setting. The profile of learner is often parents who wish to return to the workforce with a change of career which supports their family commitments to children who are at nursery or school. The course mirrors the school day in terms of term times and hours of delivery.
