This course runs for 15 weeks and comprise 30 hours guided learning within the Cisco Lab and, but also require the students to complete approx. 4 6 hours of home based online CISCO NetAcademy curriculum study a week. Each unit requires a student to achieve a 70% pass rate before progressing onto the next module, with each unit having to be studied succinctly. Introduction to Networks introduces the architecture, structure, functions, components, and models of the internet and other computer networks. The principles and structure of IP addressing and the fundamentals of Ethernet concepts, media, and operations are introduced to provide a foundation for the curriculum. By the end of this part, you will be able to build simple LANs, perform basic configurations for routers and switches, and implement IP addressing schemes.
