This is a challenging course in which students will learn to develop creative responses to the visual world through the medium of photography. Students will learn about the technical aspects of using a SLR camera, how to print in a darkroom and manipulate images using ICT. They will learn to read a photograph and create their own thoughtful and independent images. They will also find out how to write critical responses to their own and others images. Commitment, determination and enthusiasm are essential and will lead to endless possibilities for artistic impression. At the Sixth Form Centre we have our own darkroom with top quality Durst enlargers as well as PCs with image software including Photoshop CS5 and Silver Efex Pro.
