An Intermediate Level 2 Apprenticeship covers all the basics of beauty therapy. As a beauty therapy apprentice, learners will work as a junior, assisting senior staff while training as a beauty therapist. As an Advanced Apprentice, learners will work as a junior and develop key beauty techniques, as well as promotions, fashion shoots and competitions. This Apprenticeship is about improving people's wellbeing by making them look and feel better. Beauty Therapy covers a range of treatments from basic facials to advanced electrolysis. Apprentices will be working closely with clients with whom they will need to converse and instil confidence in their skills, whilst ensuring their treatment is enjoyable. The ability to create a personable and pleasant environment will also be an important quality. The Apprenticeship framework is made up of several parts: 1. Beauty Therapy NVQ (Level 2 or 3) 2. Key Skills in Application of Number and Communication (at Level 1 or 2) 3. Employers' Rights and Responsibilities Workbook (ERR) 4. Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS) Delivery Method An assessor will work with the apprentice on a one-to-one basis and/or group basis. Apprentices will be visited each month at work and will also be able to contact the assessors between visits. Fund and Costs Please contact the Workforce Development Team for further details.
