How to use the Internet e-mail and Jobsearch Course description: Suitable for the unemployed using the Universal Jobmatch site Help to apply employment Provide the necessary skills and guidance in search for employment What will I learn? Health & Safety when using a computer You will learn to use Universal Jobmatch You will learn to send, receive emails with/without attachments (CV) Hints and tips on job searching Hints and tips on how to present self in interviews Do I need to bring anything with me? Your Gateway ID number (if you have one) Your email address and password (if you have one) Pens, pencils, paper What happens in the first lesson? You will: Complete some simple paperwork Go through a short introduction to the course Access Learner Handbook (Moodle) - this includes lots of information to help you whilst you are learning with Bury Adult Learning Service and tells you who to go to if you have any questions/concerns You will be set up with a Gateway ID and an email address (if you do not have one) Practise on job searching using the Universal Jobmatch site What will be expected of me? Regular attendance will give you the opportunity to develop your skills and confidence more fully. What could I do after this course? Your tutor will be able to advise on the options available, such as accredited courses in IT (eg iTQ Level 1 in IT).
