Our Foundation Degree in Garden Design and Plantsmanship has been created in partnership with the Royal Agricultural University. It has been formed to create or develop professional garden and landscape designers and consultants whose customers are private garden owners and small to medium-sized businesses, providing them with richly plant-based solutions to design challenges. You will study at our Enfield centre with 34 acres of designed and mature gardens, plus three specialist design studios. Each year there is a one-week study tour to the Royal Agricultural University, Cirencester. Capel will provide the majority of the teaching, learning and assessment while using the Royal Agricultural University's expertise and resource on specific modules to enhance the outcomes and attractiveness of the overall programme. Emphasis is placed on developing your knowledge of plants, materials and construction techniques, as well as the design and business skills you need to deliver professional and innovative design solutions now demanded within the garden design industry in an urban context.
