L2 Award in Tree Climbing & Rescue

The course is suitable for those people who wish to go on to take the Level 3 Award in Aerial Cutting of Trees with a Chainsaw Using Free-Fall Techniques (CS39), for which the Level 2 Award in Ground Based Chainsaw Operation is also a pre-requisite. Subjects covered include: Access a tree using a rope and harness; Branch walking, use of redirects, movement within the crown; Knowledge of health and safety legislation and industry good practice; Carry out a range of aerial rescue operations within the crown and on single stems. There are no pre-requisites for this course however candidates need to be physically fit with a good head for heights.
