A-level History aims to develop students’ interest and enthusiasm for history. Students build on their understanding of the past by studying a broad and balanced course which develops their independent study skills and encourages them to become critical and reflective thinkers. Students use and understand historical terms, concepts and skills and reach substantiated judgements. This builds on their knowledge and experience from their KS4 studies and equips them for higher education or the world of work.
