This intermediate level course is run as preparation for students wishing to take the Preliminary English Test (PET) examination, although taking the exam is not a requirement of the course. The PET level demonstrates that the learner can deal with everyday English and it is widely accepted as a qualification representing general competence in English (CEFR Level B1). At this level a learner should be able to cope with a variety of everyday situations, communicating with a good level of confidence and accuracy. The course will cover all four skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening.
