If you wish to improve on a previous grade D or below, or if you are re-entering education but did not take a Maths GCSE, you may be eligible for a fully funded (free) place on our Maths GCSE course commencing September 2016. We are running a 5 week preparation course compencing 14th June 'Prepare for Maths GCSE' which will cover basic numeracy including handling negative numbers and percentages, along with basic geometry including finding areas of 2D shapes, basic algebra including substitution and use of coordinates, data handling including mean, median and mode, and basic probability with equally likely outcomes. All students will sit an assessment on 13th September to ensure that they are ready to progress to the GCSE course, which will run for 30 weeks until June 2017. If you are unable to attend the 5 week preparation course but have a good understanding of the areas described above, you are also welcome to sit the assessment and progress to the GCSE course if ready.
