The Religious Studies OCR A Level offers a broad insight into a wide range of both philosophical and ethical topics as well as an indepth study of Christianity. Students wil focus on tradition, theology and biblical analysis as well as analysing the many different denomination views. The philosophy section of the course delves into arguments for the existence of God, religious language, the characteristics of God and the problem of evil. The ethics module look at key theories like utilitarianism and natural law, while giving students the opportunity to thrash out contemporary issues such as genetic engineering. An excellent course which develops knowledge and high level analytical skills.
