Those of you who enjoy the AS year and want to take the subject further than A level can study Further Maths. AS Course Content: Pure 1: Complex Numbers; Curve Stretching; Algebra; Matrices; Proof;Decision 1: Algorithms; Critical Path Analysis; Networks; Linear Programming; Decision 2: Linear Programming Continued; Logic; Decision Trees; Network continued .If you progress to A2 you will study: Further Pure 2: Polar Coordinates; Calculus; Series; Complex Numbers; Matrices; Hyperbolic Functions; Investigating Curves. Applied units dependent on units taken at A level. These are tailored to individual needs, i.e. Mechanics 2, Statistics 2 or Mechanics 3.
