This course is for students who wish to develop essential knowledge and understanding in Physics, the applications of Physics, and the skills needed for its use in new and changing situations.  Students who wish to develop an understanding of the link between theory and experiment and appreciate how Physics has developed and is used in present day society. This is a brand new AS and A-level specification, first teaching in September 2015. It is planned to encourage the practical aspect of the course, whilst removing traditional controlled assessment. The course has a broad-based content with an option in A2 to study range of courses including Medical Physics, Engineering Physics or Electronics. It is designed to inspire and motivate students and give the foundations for further study in Physics and related qualifications.
