Sociology is the study of societies and how they shape peoples ideas, their social behaviour and their cultures, and how, in turn people interact together and shape their societies. Studying Sociology allows students to acquire a critical understanding of contemporary social life, enabling them to reflect on their own life experiences and discuss the social world in which they live. AS Level Unit 1 Culture and Identity, Families and Households, Wealth, Poverty and Welfare Unit 2 Education with Research Methods, Health with Research Methods A2 Level Unit 3 Beliefs in Society, Global Development, Mass Media, Power and Politics Unit 4 Crime and Deviance with Theory and Methods, Stratification and Differentiation with Theory and Methods. You will be examined by final written examinations
