Philosophy and Ethics A level is currently under review and new specifications will not be released until Autumn/Winter 2015/16. The new course that will be offered for first teaching in September 2016 will presume no previous study of the subject and will offer continuity from GCSE full and short courses. The course will require a strong interest in the area of Religion, Philosophy and Ethics. The skills of debate, discussion, analysis and evaluation are very important. Summary of Content At time of printing it is thought possible areas of study could include: Systematic Study of Christianity Philosophy of Religion Ethics Course details are not yet confirmed - Update to follow Assessment Regardless of specification chosen, the course will be assessed by 100% examination. Assessment Objectives are expected to include knowledge, understanding, critical analysis and evaluation.
