WHAT WILL I STUDY AT AS LEVEL? The AS Chemistry course will be assessed via two 90 minute examinations in summer 2017. Each exam is worth 50% of the overall AS grade, but is non-contributory to the A Level grade. Physical Chemistry: Atomic structure, amount of substance, bonding, energetics, kinetics, chemical equilibria (qualitative), redox Inorganic Chemistry: Periodicity, Group 2, Group 7. Organic Chemistry: Introduction to organic chemistry, alkanes, halogen alkanes, alkenes, alcohols, organic analysis.
