The BTEC Extended Diploma for IT is a two year course equivalent to three A levels. It is designed to give students a thorough grounding in modern IT theory and practice. Compulsory units include Computer Systems and Information Systems, and specialist units include Programming, Computer Networks, Games Design, Technical Support and Database Design. You will learn by completing projects and assignments which are based on realistic working scenarios. In year 2 you will have the opportunity to study for the Comp TIA A+ examinations which are internationally recognised PC Technicians qualifications.
