A-level Music offers students the opportunity to deepen their understanding of classical, folk, jazz, rock and world music, combined with performance and composition. Students should either have GCSE Music or demonstrate advanced musical skills as performers (Grade VI +) or composers with Grade V Theory or equivalent qualifications (e.g. BTEC Level 2 Music). Each year of study is divided into three units: Performing, Composing and Understanding Music.
