Geography is an exciting, enquiry-based subject which enables you to develop a full appreciation and understanding of the world in which you live. Several topics of the course are developments of the work covered in the GCSE course but others are new. What is more important is that you have a lively and enquiring mind, an interest in the environment and current affairs, a willingness to explore new ideas and an ability to communicate your ideas effectively. Students with Advanced GCE Geography have access to a wide range of possible career and higher education opportunities. Geography graduates are now regarded as some of the most employable students straight out of higher education. All students will be required to attend a fieldwork course which costs approximately £215.00.
