Economics presents the opportunity of studying a new subject that will help students to understand how the world around them operates. Economics is studied at both a microeconomic and macroeconomic level with students gaining an understanding of how all markets operate, why markets will fail, why some economies perform better than others and the steps that governments can take to improve the performance of the economy.
