Economics

UPDATED 20160321 10:23:40

Economics is a subject introduced at A-level and designed to give students a broad and deep understanding of Economic processes, concepts and theories in both a national and international context. Challenging in its scope, it would appeal to any student who had an interest in current affairs, politics and the worlds of business and finance. The qualification encourages students to ‘think as economists’ and develop the appropriate range of analytical, questioning and reasoning skills to achieve this objective. Students will develop a strong grounding in both microeconomics and macroeconomics, drawing on local, national and global contexts.
