Level 2 UAL Diploma in Creative Media Production

UPDATED 20160321 09:36:22

During this 1 year course you will undertake practical 'hands on' projects to develop your creative skills and knowledge to create a variety of products such as films, games, animation and graphics. The focus is on exploration and experimentation so you can try a wide range of disciplines to discover which one you enjoy the most. You will learn to use industry standard equipment and software during workshop sessions and guided studio time using working on both PCs and Apple Macs. The software we use includes: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, InDesign, Flash and Blender. You will learn about how the creative industries work and be able to build a portfolio of your skills through a series of directed briefs as well as a final major project. There will be visits throughout the year to educate and inspire you in your project work. Each year we hold an exhibition of students work for an audience of invited guests who include prospective employers as well as your friends and family. This qualification will give you the knowledge and experience to help you progress onto our Level 3 Creative Media course where you can begin to specialise in a chosen area. Many of our students progress to the Level 3 course and then on to higher education for courses in film-making, animation, graphic design and games development.
