In year one you will study a range of units, including: - Communication and Employability Skills - Computer Systems - Information Systems - Software Design and Development - Computer Games Design - Digital Graphics - Controlling Systems using IT - Systems Security - Database Design In Year Two you will achieve the Extended Diploma studying either the Hardware Technician pathway or the Digital Development route or possibly a mixed route containing both elements. The units studied and campus of delivery will depend on choices made at the end of year one. Pathway 1 - Hardware technician computer networks, IT systems, troubleshooting and repair, installing and upgrading software, maintaining computer systems, computer animation, communications technology, client side customisation of web pages and website production. Pathway 2 - Digital development system analysis and design, 3D graphics, object oriented programming, event driven programming, maths for IT, computer animation, developing computer games, website production and client side customisation of web page.
