AS level Mathematics A combination of Pure Mathematics, Statistics and Mechanics is studied throughout the year. The course is assessed in two 1 hour 30 minute papers. Paper 1 is a combination of Pure Mathematics and Mechanics. Paper 2 is a combination of Pure Mathematics and Statistics. For those students who move on A2, the AS results will not contribute to the full A-Level.
