UPDATED 20160318 19:22:09

This is an exciting and engaging course that allows students to explore individual, moral, ethical, social, cultural and contemporary issues. The course is primarily concerned with topics key to human existence and is equally compelling for those coming from an agnostic, atheist or faith background. All of the units address topics such as the human quest for meaning, truth and ultimate values. In paper one we study many different topics including life after death, science, the role of religion, evil and suffering, religious experience, religious language, miracles and the function of religion. In paper two we look at how religion impacts on a person's life. The topics we study include identity, ethical theories, free will and conscience.
