Photography

Students will develop skills to produce practical and critical/contextual work in one or more areas of study, for example portraiture, still life photography, documentary photography, fashion photography and experimental imagery. Students will be introduced to a variety of experiences that explore a range of photographic media, techniques and processes and will be made aware of both traditional and new technologies. Throughout the course students will explore a variety of photographic styles and genres. The students will complete 2 Components per year of the course. Component 2 and 3 are set by the exam board as externally set assignments where the students work on a theme for a period of time and then complete controlled assessment on their work.
