During the course you will study both mandatory and optional units to achieve 37 credits. Mandatory units totalling 15 credits are taken in: ; Maintaining a safe, hygienic and secure working environment ; Giving customers a positive impression of yourself and your organisation ; Applying make-up ; Fashion & photographic make-up ; Styling & dressing hair ; Creating an image Optional units: ; Colour & lighten hair ; Cutting ladies hair ; Applying body art ; Face painting ; Platt and twist hair Additional units: You will also gain a College certificate in brow shape, false lash application and application of cream tan. Alongside your main programme of study you will also study GCSE or Functional Skills in English and Maths if you have not achieved a GCSE grade A*-C. If you have achieved agrade C or above in English and Maths then you will engage in extending these skills through a project based activity.
