This course is an excellent opportunity for students to be trained to work in the early year sector by both studying in school and gaining valuable experience in the work place. This qualification will prepare students to work in a wide variety of centers and prepare students for higher education after the successful completion of the course. The course is taught in a suite of rooms in the Lodge with all the resources available on hand. The topics are listed below but all aspects of care, support, play and professional development are covered during the course. Each fortnight will have one week in school and one week on work placement.
