This course spans the entirety of the 3 year residential offer. In year 1 and 2 the learners focus on 16 units which are embedded within Home Economics sessions, Independent Skills sessions and within the learners Personal Development, Health and Welfare time. In year 3 the learners focus on 9 units which are embedded with Transition sessions and within the learners Personal Development, Health and Welfare time. The level of support required by an individual is closely monitored and in conjunction with their individual risk assessment each young person will be working towards a greater level of independence in all areas of living skills.
