NVQ Level 1 Certificate in Hospitality and Catering

This qualification spans the final year of the 3 year programme. An individual may have progressed onto it in the latter stages of their second year, although prior to starting the course the exact point at which this will happen is hard to predict. The NVQ is a challenging qualification and is assessed on practical competency and knowledge. The food safety unit of this qualification is pitched at Level 2. We use City and Guilds as it is a recognised awarding body for the catering industry and the Level 1 qualification holds currency in the workplace.
