This is a course for students who want to further their interest in and enthusiasm for the subject, including developing an interest in further study and careers in Biology. It begins with the fundamental building blocks of life and ends with how this knowledge can be, and will be used in the future, in genetic engineering, cloning and biotechnology. Students will also learn to appreciate how society makes decisions about scientific issues and how the sciences contribute to the success of the economy and society.
