Travel and Tourism provides you with transferable skills that you can apply to the travel industry, retail, business, sales and service related sectors. A new specification will be introduced for 2017. The majority of the award will be based on coursework but some will be assessed by an exam. If you choose to study BTEC Travel and Tourism at Erith School, the topics you study are likely to include: the UK travel and tourism sector, UK travel and tourism destinations, customer service, European destinations, and preparing for employment in travel and tourism. Travel and tourism involves studying up-to-date examples of the industry. You will make use of ICT, including the internet, publications, and visits to travel and tourism destinations.
