Economics

UPDATED 20161018 13:25:32

Economics is a social science which aims to explain how markets and economies as a whole work. It does this through analysing consumer behaviour and the production and distribution of goods and services. Economic analysis is applied throughout society, in business, financial sectors and government. It is also involved when discussing crime, income inequality, politics and law. Why do some economies grow and others don’t? Will the Eurozone survive? Why didn’t economists predict the Global Financial Crisis? This course will help you to understand all this and more. To enjoy Economics an interest in current affairs is essential and so students will need to keep up with current affairs through newspapers, television, the internet and other sources.
