AQA Level 3 Advanced Subsidiary in GCE Art and Design (Fine Art)

The course is designed to develop students’ analytical, imaginative 2D painting and drawing skills, or 3D sculpture and ceramic skills in Art, Craft and Design. Students may use other media such as video and photography. AS Level: Produce one project 60% of the mark and one external exam set by the AQA exam board 40% of the mark.The exam paper will consist of a choice of five questions to be used as starting points. Students are required to select one. Students will be provided with examination papers on 1 February, or as soon as possible after that date. Following receipt of the paper students should consider the starting points and select one. Preparatory work should be presented in any suitable format, such as mounted sheets, design sheets, sketchbooks, workbooks, journals, models and maquettes.
