UPDATED 20160317 16:23:14

The ability to communicate with expertise is a key skill in a world where many high profile jobs depend on your ability to present. Skills acquired in Performing Arts are recognised as being highly desirable in many professions. These include creative thinking, critical evaluation, literacy, negotiating, organising, planning, presentation, research, teamwork and working to deadlines. The practical work in Performing Arts provides a better understanding of human behaviour. The course promotes students to be self-reflective and constantly evolving. The BTEC Performing Arts course is heavily based on practical work and enables actors to develop and hone skills in preparation for a career as a performer. The course assumes students are part of a professional acting company and, as such, you will gain relevant experience of work as an actor and liaise with professionals.
