Speaking with Confidence

Is this the right course for me? Whether you are interested is increasing your confidence in making speeches or polishing up your presentations, this one-day course is for you. No experience is required. What will I learn? You will learn to feel more confident when speaking in public, for examples making presentations at meetings or speeches at weddings. How will I learn? You will learn the theory and practice the techniques in a friendly, safe environment. By the end of the day you will have practiced giving a short talk. Will I gain a qualification? You will not gain a formal qualification; however you may receive a Certificate of Attendance from your tutor. What can I do next? If you are keen to develop your speaking techniques further, it is possible to join the Guild of Toastmasters or similar organisations. You may also be interested in NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) - ask your tutor for details or contact CLMK on 01908 556700. We also offer PowerPoint training. What do I need to bring to the classes? You may wish to bring a notepad and pen to take notes and some blank postcards. You will need a packed lunch. Can I talk to someone about my course before I start it? It is usually possible to put you directly in touch with the tutor if a member of the Community Learning MK staff cannot answer your query.
