Dance - Tap - Intermediate

UPDATED 20160317 16:19:43

Is this the right course for me? You should be a tap dancer who is beyond Improvers level, but you don't need to have passed any exams. You may wish to take an examination or just enjoy getting fit and making new friends. What will I learn? The course covers light and shade of sound and performance quality. Directional steps and turns, dealing with general steps and finer and more complex rhythms, routines. How will I learn? The tutor will demonstrate steps and interpretation of rhythms which you will practise and build into routines and performances. Will I gain a qualification? It is possible to take an American Association of Dancing examination. What can I do next? You may wish to re-enrol at this level next term or you may feel confident enough to move on to the advanced class. What do I need to bring to the classes? Please wear comfortable clothing such as a track suit or leggings. The tutor will discuss the purchase of tap shoes with you on the first night if you do not already have some. Can I talk to someone about my course before I start it? You may contact the tutor, Lorraine, on 01604 705028 if a member of the Community Learning MK staff cannot answer your query.
