Excel Level 3 - Pivot Tables and charts

UPDATED 20160317 16:19:42

Is this the right course for me? This course is designed for delegates with some knowledge of Excel. This is an introduction to Pivot Tables. If you need to learn Pivot Tables for your work, or need to use this reporting tool to sort and calculate the information independently from the main spreadsheet data, this can be done in a matter of minutes. What will I learn about? A Pivot Table is a great reporting tool which can sort and calculate the information independently from the main spreadsheet data all in a matter of minutes. You will be able to; prepare the source data, use the wizard to create a Pivot Table, to change the way information is displayed within a Pivot Table (by manipulating and trial and error), to update and refresh the Pivot Table and produce a chart. How will I learn? You will learn mainly by using the computer to work on practical tasks; by tutor led question and answer sessions, presentations and demonstrations. You will receive handouts to help you use and practice your new skills after the session. You will be given files to take away and practise. Will I gain a qualification? You will not gain a formal qualification but you may receive a Certificate of Attendance from your tutor. What can I do next? If you would like to explore Excel further we offer various modules of Excel eg Formulas and Functions, Macros, plus Excel Intermediate and Advanced courses. There are opportunities to achieve ITQ units in Excel at levels 1 & 2 in our brochure and at our Flexible Learning Centres.
