Biology is the study of living things. It is a multi-disciplinary subject that includes such varied topics as Human Physiology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Ecology and Disease. Biology is a popular choice at 'AS'with there usually being four sets in Year 12. Biology is a popular choice at 'A-Level' with there usually being four sets in Year 12. The course is based on the new AQA specification (in Y12). Assessment is by means of two 1.5 hour written examinations taken in May/June of Year 12.
