We offer Edexcel AS and A level Maths. AS Maths consists of 2 'Core' Pure Maths modules (C1 and C2), together with 1 Application Unit. A level consists of 4 'Core' Pure Maths modules (C1 to C4), together with 2 Application Units. The application units will be selected from Mechanics (study of Forces and Motion) and/or Statistics (study of data and probability). Pure Maths is primarily about Algebra and Functions. A level Mathematics is taught mainly by exposition by the teacher, although students will be expected to contribute to class discussions of new topics. A significant part of the course will be in keeping up with the home learning tasks, normally set after each lesson.
