Many of the people that study Philosophy & Ethics like to argue and debate issues and enjoy looking at life's 'big' questions. Universities favour students that have studied Philosophy & Ethics because it: Is based on academic knowledge Gives students a good understanding of the world and themselves Increases students ability to argue a point and be analytical Employers also favour people that have studied Philosophy & Ethics because they think it gives potential employees a good understanding of the world and people may be working with. The course is offered by Edexcel and the units that will be studies are: Year 12 Foundations Unit - Unit A Philosophy and Unit B Ethics Investigations Unit - Unit C Medical Ethics Year 13 Developments Unit - Unit A Philosophy and Unit B Ethics Implications Unit - Philosophy or Ethics The course is 100% exam based and relies on essay style questions The content of this course will change slightly next year due to alterations to the A level structure for this subject from 2016
