Diploma in Beauty Therapy Level 2

This course is designed for 19+ mature students who have an interest in the Beauty Therapy industry. With only 6 hours a week tuition, this course requires the learner to be dedicated as there is a large self study element to this course. Good communication, time management and high levels of personal hygiene are essential. During the course you will study the following units: Ensure responsibilities for actions to reduce risks to health and safety, Promote additional services and products to clients, Develop and maintain your effectiveness at work, Produce facial skincare treatments, Enhance the appearance of eyebrows and lashes, Carry out waxing services, Provide manicure services, Provide pedicure services, Provide make-up services and Fulfil salon reception duties. On successful completion of this course you can progress onto Level 3 Beauty Therapy, Level 3 Nail Services, or Level 3 Complementary Therapies. You may wish to enter employment or work as a mobile therapist.

Entry requirements

It will be necessary for you to purchase a Level 2 kit and uniform (cost TBC) prior to the course start date. Without it, you will be unable to enrol. Details of the kit and uniform will be given at interview. You will also need to adhere to a strict dress code which includes no jewellery, short varnish free nails, no nail enhancements and hair to be up at all times. You will also be required to wear your salon uniform to all sessions. Exam dates TBC. It is important that these dates are attended. Retake sessions will be arranged should they be needed. It is estimated that you need to set aside 3 hours a week for self-study on top of any additional practical work.
