Sociology

UPDATED 20160317 13:01:59

Sociology is the study of how society is organised and how we experience life. In particular, Sociology examines group behaviour and human societies, with emphasis on the structures of societies and the processes of social influence. It addresses key trends in society, such as:  Why do the women do most of the housework within the family?  Why do teachers give boys more attention than girls?  Why do Black people get arrested more than white people?  Why are Muslims seen to be terrorists?
