The OCR Cambridge Technical Diploma in Information Technology is a vocational course, so you are assessed on skills that are transferable to the workplace as well as higher education. The Cambridge Technicals are a new generation of vocational courses developed through the exam board OCR's links with the University of Cambridge. They are aimed at people who enjoy learning in a practical, work-related way. Seven units are completed over the course of the year with a strong focus on practical assignments to evidence your understanding. The seven units studied are diverse and span a range of Office-based creative IT areas including website development, multimedia design, interactive media production and animation. You will find this course to be both rewarding and challenging as you gain new skills and develop further those that you already have in an atmosphere that reflects the 'real world' rather than a classroom. Assessment on this course is continuous and requires the ability to work to tight deadlines. Expectations are high, but you will receive excellent support from the dedicated team members who deliver the course.
