This course will give you an understanding of what it is like to work in business, whether for a big business in the City, a small local firm or in a business set up by yourself. It will equip you with the knowledge you need to understand a business environment. You will study topics including business objectives and strategy, entrepreneurship and global business, marketing, finance, human resources, and operations management which explores how products are made. You will be introduced to business operations and look in depth at the various functional areas needed for a business to succeed. You will look at how and why a business is set up and at external influences on success.
