Psychology is the study of people, the mind and behaviour. Why do people react to certain things in different ways? Are we all capable of murder? What can make people happy or sad, and how can we use that in the modern world? Studying Psychology at A Level gives you a good basic knowledge and provides an insight into what it might be like to be a professional psychologist. By the end of the course, you should have developed a critical approach to scientific methods and evidence, and a knowledge and understanding of how psychology works and its role in society. You will also develop the following skills: effective oral and written communication, the ability to understand, analyse and use data, the ability to make critical evaluations, organisational skills and effective teamwork.
