Mathematics (Further)

UPDATED 20160317 10:48:30

You have already studied Maths for over 10 years, so what's left? A lot! You can find out (amongst other things) why Newton is so famous and regarded as such a brilliant mathematician, how his equations model the real world and how we calculate the area under a curve. You will study the theory of logarithms and contemplate why for over 200 years they were one of the few aids to calculations. If you are thinking of studying any science- or business-based subject, or intend to at university, you should consider taking Mathematics as many techniques covered here are applied in other disciplines and it is often an entry requirement for courses at university. Finally, you might also really like maths - this is as good a reason as any, perhaps even the best reason, to continue studying it. If you study something you enjoy you are likely to do better at it. With maths there is the excitement of new discoveries you will make. You will start to see more of the beauty of mathematics and realise just how much everything around us and throughout the entire universe is connected to mathematics.
