Mathematics (Mechanics 1 & Pure) AS

Mathematics is a demanding and highly valued qualification. Students study concepts such as quantity, structure, space and change that are essential for our understanding of the world around us. There are three separate courses: Mathematics (Decision and Pure), which deals with large scale business and organisational problems and combines well with Computing, Business Studies and Economics; Mathematics (Mechanics and Pure) which deals with motion and forces and must be taken by students studying Physics; Double Maths is for exceptional Maths students considering studying Mathematics, Engineering or Economics at University.
