The VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training (QCF) will prepare learners for a career in the sport and active leisure industry as a personal trainer. Throughout this qualification they will develop an understanding of the theory underpinning personal training, including anatomy and physiology, principles of exercise and fitness, how to support clients, health and safety and the principles of nutrition. They will also develop the knowledge and skills needed to plan, design, manage, adapt, deliver and evaluate personal training sessions. As part of the qualification learners will produce a progressive training programme for an individual that takes into account short, medium and long term goals. This qualification is approved by the Register of Exercise Professional (REPS). On successful completion of this qualification they will be eligible to register onto the REPs as an advanced instructor as a level 3 Personal Trainer and learners will be able to work as a personal trainer in sport and active leisure.
